Our ELISA tests are simple and sensitive assays for the determination of cytokine levels in biological fluids of humans, monkeys, mice and rats.
The sandwich-type ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is conducted in antibody-coated 96-well microtiter plates where serial dilutions of samples (culture supernatant, serum or plasma) with unknown concentrations of cytokines or other analytes are brought into the wells. The bound cytokine is then allowed to associate with a biotinylated detector antibody and an enzyme-labeled streptavidin. Subsequently, ready-to-use TMB susbtrate is added producing a colored product that can be determined spectrophotometrically.
To obtain ELISA kits with high sensitivity and accuracy, it is our policy to develop "in house" specific mono- and polyclonal antibodies with high specificity and affinity for a wide range of cytokines, chemokines and granzymes. The validated compatibility of these antibodies with certain high-quality ancillary reagents and plates guarantees trouble-free operation and optimal results.
Application
U-CyTech offers a wide range of ELISA tests for the detection of human, monkey, mouse and rat cytokines, chemokines or granzymes e.g. GM-CSF, Granzyme B, IFN-γ, interleukin family members (IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, etc.), Perforin, TNF-α.
The monkey ELISA kits have been validated for various Old World monkey species including rhesus macaques, barbary macaques, lion-tailed macaques, pig-tailed macaques, Sulawesi-crested macaques, Japanese macaques, cynomolgous monkeys, langurs, baboons and mangabeys. U-CyTech has also developed ELISA kits for the detection of cytokines from the Marmoset (New World monkey species), including IFN-γ, TNF-α and IL-17A.
Our ELISA tests are widely applied in different research fields, including cancer research (1, 2), vaccine development (3, 4), infectious diseases (5, 6, 7), autoimmune diseases (8, 9), organ transplantation (10, 11) and parasitology (12, 13). Hundreds of peer-reviewed publications describe the successful use of U-CyTech’s ELISA tests and/ or apply our high affinity antibodies in other immunoassays. Please find them in our Reference database.
