Summary
The monoclonal antibody to human IFN-γ (clone MD-1) was first described in 1985. It has shown to neutralize the antiviral activity of both natural and recombinant human IFN-γ and in a Western Blot the antibody reacts with the 20 kDa and 25 kDa polypeptides present in natural human IFN-γ (van der Meide P.H. et al. 1985). The antibody has proven to cross react with chimpanzee and rhesus macaque IFN-γ and can be used for immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissues (Jonker M. et al. 2013 and Kap Y. et al. 2009). The MD-1 antibody has been reported for use in intracellular flow cytometric analysis (Hamann D. et al. 1996). Other available formats: unconjugated (cat. no. CT215) and biotin labeled (cat. no. CT218).
